Who loves a mini adventure!

children

Sometimes I wake up and know I NEED to go out with the kids for all our sanity!

Sometimes I have a place in mind and other days my mind is a blank or we want to go somewhere new and exciting and have an adventure!

Last Monday I felt this way and I was starting to allow my negative anxiety ridden side talk me out of it, as it was getting near lunch time and I couldn't think of anything to do! I am a member of a number of communities including our own Lilbits Community and I put out a quick shout out to the Family Days Tried and Tested chatters group as I knew there were mums and dads from wales in there!

Straight away someone suggested a trip to Margam Park which was about 45 minutes away!  its £6 per car to get in and they had activities like paddle boarding and canoeing so I threw them all in the car and we headed straight there! It was an absolutely beautiful place and we stayed until it closed at 6.30!

The back drop and grounds of this place are just breathtaking, even with the black rain clouds!  Erin had a super hour learning how to paddle board and I was surprised as she fell off and just got back on and stood back up! Matilda absolutely loved the park and train around the grounds and there was enough stones for Atticus to pick up for the next 100 years so he was in his element!

After the day we had I realised it was great that I had asked for suggestions and was given such a lovely place so I asked if anyone had any recommendations in their area!  We had ideas so I thought i would share them here in case anyone else is looking for an adventure.  So here is a list of places being have recommended on our pages. Most of these are in South Wales but there are some other recommendations across the UK!
